God has gifted each of us.

Who needs to know about spiritual gifts?

You need to know about spiritual gifts if:

1. You are a Christian,
2. You believe that Jesus is your Lord and you want to love Him and follow Him in the best way possible, and ,
3. You want your church to be a healthy, attractive, growing group of people showing forth God's love in your community. 1 Corinthians 12:1

We will be richly fulfilled if we are doing His will through using our spiritual gifts. Faith tells us that God wants His church to grow. He wants His lost sheep found and brought into the fold. And He will do it through the gifts He has given to each of us for His Glory.

Purpose Driven Life Class

Preparation:

The Purpose Driven Life book is divided into 40 days of topics and those 40 are divided into six sections which are “What on earth am I here for?” and God's five purposes for our lives.

• What on earth am I here for?
• #1 You were planned for God's pleasure.
• #2 You were formed for God's family.
• #3 You were created to become like Christ.
• #4 You were shaped for serving God.
• #5 You were made for a mission.

Although this is a guide for a forty day spiritual journey, this class will plan to read aloud and discuss “3+ days” a week/meeting for fourteen weeks. However, we will be flexible to the needs of the group if change is indicated. It will be more meaningful if you are able to read the three day assignment before class and practice silent meditation after reading each day that God may reveal to you the implications and applications for your life! Then, if you are so moved, record them in your journal!!! But we will read each “day” aloud and share our experiences when we meet so don't worry if you can't get it read or miss a class.

General Instruction:

Each week, the participants should read the “ 3 days”, reflect, meditate, and write in the journal after each day. Read the questions in Appendix I p. 320 before reading each section.

To allow for flexibility for busy schedules, you may do those three days however your time permits, but please pray that God will be with you during each session and to help you to make this a priority in your life.

Leadership may rotate among group members if someone has been particularly moved by a week's material. Each person will be asked to pray unless they choose not to, but may change their mind any time as they feel so moved by the Holy Spirit.

Nothing is set in stone. We want this to be a meaningful, heartfelt experience for everyone. Looking forward to being with each of you. Pauline L.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study

We meet from 10:30 to 11:30 in room 10. The study topic varies, as do the leaders. Call the church office or contact for current information.
